Breeding Methods
There are 2 basic methods of breeding, these are In-Breeding or Cross Breeding. Any breeding of related animals is In-Breeding. This type of breeding is done for purification of certain traits and qualities you are developing for the production of seed fowls or breeder replacements. A specific example are matings between brother and sister chickens. On the other hand mating unrelated animals like a Hatch Rooster to a Roundhead hen is termed Cross Breeding. This is done to take advantage of a principle known as "Hybrid Vigor" which simply means that the offspring is better then both parents. This type of breeding is done to produce your battle crosses.
