Bumble Foot
I would like to give a dashing salute to one of my recent visitors and good friend Doc TJT who is the pioneer in the development of cocking courses in the Philippines. I would like to share something I learned from him regarding the treatment of Bumble Foot or locally known as "TIBAK" This being a disease caused by bacteria that needs oxygen to survive, he has developed an unorthodox line of treatment. He thoroughly cleans the affected foot with a disinfectant like betadine then dries the foot and applies a rubber sealant such as rubber cement or silocon used to seal glass. He then protects the foot by properly taping the affected foot with surgical tape. My only modification to this unique line of treatment is to inject the affected area with a broad spectrum antibiotic before sealing and plastering.
If the damage is too big, the foot will never return to its usual state. So the best thing to do is try to prevent this by providing our roosters with good roosts, clean and grassy surroundings and check their feet regularly as to be able to treat it before any permanent damage occurs.

Firstly, congratulations Doc Paul for setting up your very own website. This is certainly going to help a lot of those who are in the net and who are into gamefowl.
Quick question. Is the compound applied only on the “eye” of the tibak or the entire sole?
Thank you.
It is applied to the whole sole sir
